Thankful Thursday (3-8)

Y’all. This week was BUSY. From nature class to flying to Illinois to seeing lots of friends & family in a VERY short period of time to trying to recoup and get focused to realizing IT IS ALREADY THURSDAY, my mind hasn’t slowed down one bit since my last Thankful Thursday post.

This week…

I’m thankful for afternoon chill time outside.


She pretended she was sleeping so she wouldn’t have to go inside for her nap.

I’m thankful for light traffic.

I’m thankful for sunshine. 🙂 🙂 🙂

I’m thankful for ways to cool off when it’s hot outside.


she LOVES splashing in her baby pool.

I’m thankful for productivity.

I’m thankful for Mrs. Pettet & Aimee who are making amazing changes in their lives!

I’m thankful for the awesome group of coaches I get to work alongside of.

I’m thankful for the local nature center and the EcoTots program.

I’m thankful for Brooklyn’s sense of adventure.

I’m even thankful for her newfound obsession with snakes.

I’m thankful the bayou is close to Brandon’s work & we could have a spontaneous lunch date.

I’m thankful for easy travel days with Brooklyn.


she LOVES airplanes 🙂

I’m thankful she loves to fly.

I’m thankful for the sweet lady who sat by me and became fast friends with Brooklyn.

I’m thankful for time to spend with my family.

I’m thankful for Aunt Sue who drove over an hour to visit us.

I’m thankful for Auntie Helena and our lunch date.


I’m thankful for Hoopeston Community Church of the Nazarene.

I’m thankful for the Alexander family and good Mexican food. 🙂

I’m thankful for life conversations with my grandpa & dad.

I’m thankful for reunions with cousins and grandparents.

I’m thankful for happy chaos.

I’m thankful for my brothers and sisters.

I’m thankful for heated competition over Wii Bowling. 😂😂

I’m thankful for my mama & her willingness to try yoga with me.


I’m thankful for Valerie and the amazing work she does with my hair.

I’m thankful Mrs. Totheroh was pumping gas when I drove past Casey’s. So good to catch up!

I’m thankful for Grandma Carol and the kiddos at her house who acted like Brooklyn was still “one of them.”

I’m thankful for big cups of iced coffee.


I’m thankful for Jessica’s banana bread.

I’m thankful for the Moana soundtrack.

I’m thankful for conversations with good friends.

I’m thankful for dance parties.

Thank you, Jesus, for these blessings.
